Senior Summit ~ October 30, 2019
Students will register in advance for sessions through a Google Form.  Any student who does not register by Friday, October 11th at 4pm will be assigned to sessions, which must be adhered to for attendance purposes.  For more information on potential sessions, please see the Senior Summit Website.

Cool Week 
*Week 1:  February 24th-28th
*Week 2:  March 2nd - 6th
Cool Week is structured, week-long, work-based learning experience for qualified 12th grade students in Leander ISD.  Students are placed in a business or agency for a few days or a full week in a career field that they may otherwise not necessarily have access to observe.  For more information on COOL Week, please visit the COOL Week Website.
*Students may only participate in up to 1 week of COOL Week. All COOL Week days must fall within the same week and can't be split between the 2 weeks.

November 12th: I Applied Day CelebrationStudents who have submitted a college application by Thursday, November 1st and have submitted proof will be invited to join us for the "I Applied Day" celebration on Friday, November 9th in the lecture hall at 8:00 AM. Documentation must be uploaded to the "I Applied" Celebration form by November 5th at 4:00 PM.

May 14th:  4:00 - 7:00 pm at VRHS - Balfour will deliver cap and gowns in front of VRHS - please check the insider and main webpage for more information on specifics. Click HERE for the map and route for pick up

May 16th: Vista Ridge Virtual Prom 8:00 - 10:00 pm - A live DJ will be broadcasting music for VRHS students and the 2020 Prom King and Queen will be announced. Additional Info will be sent out to all juniors and seniors.

May 30th: Project Grad is cancelled however, there will still be a raffle for students that are registered for project grad by May 3rd - lots of great prizes so make sure you are officially registered on their website! Project Graduation

Senior Walks at Elementary Schools ~ wear cap & gown
Cox Elementary ~ On Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 am there will be a banner that read "Congratulations Vista Ridge Seniors, Class of 2020 in the front of Cox Elementary by the Charlotte Ann Cox Sign.  You can come at times that are convenient for you in your cap and gown.  They will have place markers for social distancing, and to practice safety and security protocols. Should other families be there taking pictures please make sure to practice all safety measures when waiting to take pictures. You can park in the front of the school for your convenience. This banner will be left out until June 11, 2020. We will have red ribbons in the front of our school to recognize our Seniors.

Also Cox will be having a car parade to celebrate Seniors on Friday, May 29th at 2:00 pm.  The elementary parade will follow.  We ask that families and Seniors driving in the parade enter through Darkwoods and to exit on Brushy Creek.  Please follow the linked MAP for the parade route.  Due to safety and security, and to ensure social distancing protocols are followed, we ask that Seniors and their families remain in their cars and to wear a face masks.    
The only people that will be saying farewell to our Seniors at the school are the Cox Elementary staff. Please decorate your cars, wear your caps and gowns, and make it a memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you. Arrive by 1:40 p.m. so that you have your spot in the parade line. 
Faubion Elementary ~   Thursday, May 28th  from 11:15 - 11:45 am drive through parade through the k-2 drop off area.  Have a name card on your dash so they can announce you as you go through.  Photo ops also in the 3-5th grade drop off area.

Order Your Cap & Gown 
This is required to participate in the VRHS graduation ceremony; order online from Balfour.
The deadline to order your cap and gown before the price goes up is Jan. 31st.

Senior Awards ~ May 19th
Parents/Guardians of students being recognized will receive an invitation to Senior Awards.
The VRHS Counseling Department wants to remind you that we are still be celebrating the Class of 2020's scholarship offers during a Senior Awards Ceremony.  Please continue submitting your scholarship offers or plans to enlist in the military using the links below. 
The Class of 2020's achievements will be recognized during Senior Awards.  Several awards will be presented, including awards for scholarship offers & military enlistments.   In order for a Military Enlistment or Scholarship to be recognized, students must provide verification by completing one of the forms listed below.

You will be asked to upload copies of the scholarship offers (i.e. letters, emails, screen shots, etc) or signed enlistment in the Google Form.

Get on the "College Wall"
Wondering how you can be recognized and added to the VRHS College Wall?
Please complete the College Acceptance Reporting Form .  After completing this form, please stop by the counseling office to sign a pennant and post it on the College Wall.  As you receive multiple acceptance offers, please complete additional forms.
